Packs

Each pack is a JSON file. Use Open JSON… to load an existing file, + Pack to create a blank pack, and Save… to export the active pack. Save ALL… downloads all loaded packs.

Three layers

  • Layer 1 — Guidance: The main guidance content (guidance_html, AI blocks, code list)
  • Layer 2 — Coder Summary: A plain-language summary for working coders
  • Layer 3 — AI Summary: Plain text optimised for AI context retrieval

Source values (canonical enum — lowercase)

  • national — national coding standards (NCCS, OPCS SI) only
  • local — everything trust-authored: local guidance AND local Delen resolutions/overrides
  • delen — the published Delen QRD only (own pill in the readers, 3-financial-year window)
  • other — third-party published guidance (NICE HTG, GIRFT, ICD-11 Reverse Map, …). Set a Filter label to name the sub-source — it becomes the entry's row in the readers' Other-pill dropdown.

'reference' is retired from this field (it stays exclusive to the appendix mechanism); readers map legacy values to other on load, and the load validator warns until entries are re-saved.

Entry types

  • guidance — local coding note or pathway detail
  • delen_override — local resolution suppressing a national Delen entry

Suppression

A local entry can replace any loaded non-national entry — a published Delen QRD row, an Other entry (NICE/GIRFT/ICD-11), or another local entry. Never a national standard.

Set the Suppresses UID to the Delen query number this entry replaces (the trailing "— NNNN" of its reference). If it also suppresses additional UIDs (referenced in See Also blocks), add them space-separated in Suppresses also. For a target without a UID (e.g. a NICE or local entry), put its full reference in Suppresses ref — readers match by UID or by full reference.

✦ AI Generation Settings

Configure your AI provider for Layer 3 summary generation. Your key is stored in browser localStorage only — never sent anywhere except directly to your chosen provider.

⚠ Remove this key before sharing the portal file with anyone. Stored in localStorage — clears if you clear browser data.

🔑 Pack Signing Key

NosoForge signs every pack it saves using a private key stored in your browser. NosoNotes uses the corresponding public key (CN_PUBLIC_KEY_HEX in content/data-loader.js) to verify that files have not been tampered with. The private key never leaves this browser.

No signing key — generate one below to enable signed saves.

Restore a previously backed-up private key. The matching public key will be derived automatically.

⚠ Clearing the key is irreversible. All packs previously signed with this key will fail verification in NosoNotes until they are re-exported through a NosoForge holding the same key. Only clear if you intend to generate a new key, update CN_PUBLIC_KEY_HEX in NosoNotes' content/data-loader.js, and re-export all packs.
